Alfred Place - Amenity
Landlord Fitout
Thirty One Alfred Place is a 50,000 sq. ft. flex office building owned Great Portland Estates. Ellipse lead the complete building design, including design concept, furniture, artwork, planting, and wayfinding.

Ellipse was engaged to consult on the building’s brand and identity. The amenity scope included the design of a café reception, bookable meeting suites, a wellness suite, and a rooftop terrace.

Thirty One Alfred Place was originally built in the 1950s. We therefore embraced a design aesthetic that reflected this era, giving the building a distinct identity. Limewash paint was a key design element to add texture and character throughout the reception and LG space.
GPE is committed to driving sustainability across all its projects. As a result, we adopted a circular and sustainable design approach at the core of our procurement strategy, helping to achieve SKA Silver certification

Ellipse designed and developed custom furniture pieces for the reception areas. This included joinery booths, and a custom bench and rug design that wrapped around the central columns.
A key design element from this fitout was the addition of a new feature staircase to the reception. This was important to open up the space and create a connection between the GF & LG space, whilst also allowing additional light to the LG space.
